Nathan Avakian is an eighteen-year-old theatre organist from Portland, Oregon. He was the 2009 overall winner of the ATOS Young Theatre Organist Competition. Nathan began formal organ studies with Donna Parker at age 11 and is also coached by Jonas Nordwall.

Avakian is a high school senior at the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy (ACMA), where he is a member of the National Honor Society, the ACMA Theatre Ensemble, and the ACMA Advanced Vocal Ensemble. Nathan hopes to promote interest in the theatre organ among people of all ages to ensure that the instrument is preserved and kept alive for future generations.

Parker

Donna Parker has been playing the theatre organ since she was eleven-years-old. She made her first recording at age fifteen and was the first official organist for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. Donna also played at several pizza restaurants and currently maintains an active teaching and concert schedule.

Martin Ellis holds the distinction of being the first winner of the ATOS Young Organists Competition in 1986 after taking lessons from John Ferguson. Martin maintains an active concert schedule and has toured all over the world. He became the third member of the Trio con Brio upon Tom Hazleton's passing, and he was recently appointed House Organist at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis where he will play their newly installed Wurlitzer.

Pete McCluer's home organ studio on August 15, 2009.

Ten of Greg's songs have been added to the LIBRARY.
